Friendly Inspiration: Lyndsay

I decided that in addition to places and objects that inspire me, I would also like to include inspiring people on this blog as well. To start, the broad above is my gal pal Lyndsay. She is doing amazing things people! Recently, she is a sewing machine (get it?) and has been creating amazing dresses, pillows, and headbands left and right. She is in the process of creating an Etsy site that I will gladly share once it is up and running.

We took these photos some months ago for fun. We both read fashion blogs daily and really are into the idea of developing our own. Although they are silly, I really like these photos and I look forward to more fun shoots with her in the future.

The Happiest Place on Earth

One night in Orlando I was able to sneak away from my hotel and visit Magic Kingdom. It had been over thirteen years since I had been to Disney World. Everything was exactly as I had remembered.

I was pretty determined to make it to Disney. None of my co-workers showed much interest in joining me so I went alone. To be honest, it was nice to have time to take pictures and do what I wanted. I even asked a stranger to take my solo shot in front of the castle. Although it was awkward, I am really happy with how it turned out. I am definitely going to have to work on becoming more comfortable in front of the camera and especially in public places.

I have so many amazing memories with my family from Disney World. We used to go almost every November when I was younger. After driving about eighteen hours in the black Reliant K station wagon (and enduring much car sickness), we were always so excited to be back in the park. Looking back, I realize how lucky I was to have these family vacations. On this last visit, I sent a message to my sister suggesting we make Disney a family ritual when we have children. She agreed.

Orlando...More Like Borelando

Last week I traveled for the first time with my current job. I had a fancy suite complete with two balconies, a living room, and several television sets. This is definitely one of the best perks of the job.

I am so very appreciative to have a corporate job, don't get me wrong. In some ways, it has pushed me to become more creative in my free time. But now I need space to collect ideas and photos.

Cue this blog.

Greetings & Salutations

I've been staring at an empty word box for a while now. How does one begin a blog? Is a proper introduction necessary?

I'll spare you the background details. I don't live an exceptionally lavish lifestyle. I can't afford fancy clothing. I hope you don't find me too boring.

After about a year of reading some fabulously interesting and beautiful blogs, I figured I would give it a shot. So here is my somewhat ordinary life-with a splash of color.
