Pacific Northwest!

I am so very excited to tell you that our Portland / Seattle trip has been booked! This trip has been in the works for so long now. When I graduated college, I began to read about the Pacific Northwest in travel magazines and became obsessed with the idea of living there. I have a feeling I am going to fall in love! I have heard such great recommendations and have learned about some great places we need to check out. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them.

Oregon Places I Would Love to Visit:
Cannon Beach (Read about it here on Alicia's blog)

Washington Places I Would Love to Visit:
Space Needle (A Tourist Must!)

I am now taking bets on how many photos I will return with. (For reference, I took 3,000+ on our roadtrip two summers ago)

Cheery Decorations

After reading Erin's post of the lobby decorations in her apartment building, I decided I wanted to share the festive decorations that are surrounding me this holiday season. The Sunday after Thanksgiving, my siblings and I set up all of the figurines my father had in the attic. He used to do this every year with our help. Now that we are grown, busy, and two of us are out of the house, he hasn't been putting all of them up. With my parents' big move to Maryland this spring, we figured we would display them one last time. The parades of penguins and herds of rain deer are together once again. It meant a lot to us and of course to my father to see them all lit up.

In our apartment, my roommate and I decided to put up a small five foot artificial tree. We decorated it with silly ornaments and hung stockings above the bookshelf. The smallest touches really help me get into the holiday spirit. I even started wrapping gifts.

These last photos are a bit random - one is from my cube at work and the other is from the Super Foodtown parking lot. Cheers!

Birthday Goodies

I am overwhelmed with the generosity of everyone this year. My parents searched and searched and found me a beautiful Kitchen Aid mixer. They know I have been bitten by the baking bug since moving out and having my own kitchen. I am so excited for the possible cupcakes and treats that I can now make! Thank you so much Ma and Pa!

Speaking of yummy treats, I got a ridiculously special present from my love. Who says men don't listen to what you want? I have been thinking about making the big switch from Nikon to Canon. Well, now I have! This camera is beautiful and the best part is that it takes HD videos! I am so excited to play with it and figure out what is what. We have some exciting trips ahead of us in the next few months - I cannot wait to use her. (I think the camera is a female but I haven't come up with a name yet. Any suggestions?)

I cannot wait to share photos taken with my new toy. Such an amazing birthday!

Love at First Shoe

I have been following Love at First Shoe for a few months now and I am so envious of this blogger's skirt collection. As a corporate meeting and event planner, she does an amazing job of dressing work appropriate and still very funky! I try to also remain creative and colorful in my work environment, so she is a great inspiration. I picked out my six favorite outfits below.

You've Got the Love

This birthday was so special to me. I am so greatful to have spent an excellent day at the Brooklyn Brewery with my friends...

For a delicious dinner (and key lime tart dessert) with my family...

...and a really great night out with my love for birthday mojitos and fro-yo.

I just can't explain how thankful I am for everyone and everything this year.
CHEERS to 26!

Adorable Adorable Adorable

Going with yesterday's balloon theme, I had to share the most adorable Halloween costume ever. I LOVE the movie Up and this costume was just too sweet. I found this little guy via Sarah Barrett on Pinterest.
